ACONCAGUA'S SUMMIT BY NORMAL ROUTE !!!
ITINERARY:
Day 1: Mendoza arrival, lodging at Hotel.
Day 2: Transport from Mendoza Hotel to Los Penitentes (2700 mts). Lodging at Hotel Ayelen.
Day 3: Trek from Penitentes to Confluencia Camp (3300mts).
Day 4: Trek to visit Plaza Francia (South Face of Aconcagua, 4000mts), and return to Confluencia.
Day 5: Trek Confluencia to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp (4230mts).
Day 6: Rest day at Base Camp.
Day 7: Climb of Bonete Peak (4900mts).
Day 8: Load carry to Plaza Canada (Camp I) at 4900mts and back to BC.
Day 9: Rest day at Base Camp.
Day 10: Climb from Plaza de Mulas to Plaza Canada (Camp I) at 4900mts.
Day 11: Load carry to Nido de Condores (Camp II) at 5400mts and return to Camp I.
Day 12: Climb from Plaza Canada to Nido de Condores (Camp II) at 5400mts.
Day 13: Rest day at Nido de Condores and/or load carry to Berlin (Camp III) at 5850mts.
Day 14: Climb from Nido de Condores to Berlin (Camp III) at 5800mts.
Day 15: Summit attempt on Aconcagua reaching 6962mts.
Day 16/17/18: Extra days in case of bad weather.
Day 19: Descent from Berlin Camp to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp.
Day 20: Trek return from Plaza de Mulas Base Camp to Penitentes, and transport from Penitentes to Mendoza in private vehicle. Lodging at Hotel.
Day 21: Departure from Mendoza City.
SERVICES INCLUDED:
* Transfer in and out Airport - Mendoza Hotel - Airport.
* Transfers Hotel Mendoza - Penitentes - Hotel Mendoza. In private vehicle.
* Assistance with the procedures to obtain the permit to enter the Aconcagua Provincial Park.
* Single room accomodation at Mdz Hotel, Two (2) nights lodging with swimming pool and breakfast included.
* Single room accomodation at Ayelen Hotel in Los Penitentes village, One (1) night lodging including dinner (set menu) and continental breakfast.
* Transportation in truck to Horcones Lake to start the approach trek to the mountain.
* Single tents during approach and Base Camp stay, Confluencia and Plaza de Mulas Campsites.
* Mules for load transportation from Penitentes to Plaza de Mulas and back.
* Meals and drinks at Confluencia Camp, two (2) nights in total, including cook and luggage guardian.
* Meals, drinks and Base Camp Service at Plaza de Mulas Base Camp including: Private Mess Tent with tables and benches, dishes, all meals served, cook and luggage guardian while the team is on the mountain, 12 Volts electric light, permanent radio communication with Mdz, WC tent.
* Vegetarian preference on meals during the full trip.
* Porters to carry tents exclusively, above Base Camp at a ratio of 1 porter every 3 climbers.
* High Mountain Guide, and assistants in relation with the final number of people on the team; Guide client ratio 3:1.
* Pots, stoves, fuel, food and tents above Base Camp.
* VHF radio to get permanent communication with Base Camp.
* Permanent Technical Advice previous to departure about clothing and personal equipment.
* Climbing permit fee to enter on to the Aconcagua Provincial Park. (up to U$S 335.- on high season)
SERVICES NOT INCLUDED:
* Meals in Mendoza city and others not specified on the itinerary.
* Extras, drinks and tips in hotels.
* Personal equipment.
* Equipment hire if needed.
* All the expenses produced due the abandon of the itinerary.
* Mountain rescue and/or evacuation.
* Saddle horse to come down from Base Camp if needed.
* Personal phone calls from the satellite phone.
DATES SEASON 2007 - 2008:
From Monday, 24 of December 2007 to Sunday 13 January 2008.
From Monday, 31 of December 2007 to Sunday 20 January 2008.
Any departure dates can be re-scheduled with a minimum of 4 persons
PRICES SEASON 2007 - 2008:
U$S 2900.- per person.
GROUPS:
All our groups are open but limited to no more than 12 climbers. So please book as soonest you can.
SPECIAL SERVICES:
Special Dietary Requirements: if you are vegetarian, don't eat any certain type of food or have any illness related with any food, please let us know about it, we will provide you an special catering during the trip; not any extra charge will be added.
