18 Years Experience Guiding on Aconcagua, we are a locally based company. Daniel Alessio Expediciones has guided over 130 successful Aconcagua Expeditions.

We ARE locals. All our team working on each area of the company is the best and has a great experience, we are pride to have the best staff on each area, mules drivers, base camp managers and cookers and of course Guides, Assistants and Porters.
Environment Care. We take down from all campsites, Base camps and high camps, ALL our litter as well as ALL the human waste produced by our teams and sometimes produced from other careless companies.
Full time based office in Penitentes, during the season, keeping our expedition logistics running smoothly.
Own Base Camps at Plaza de Mulas and Confluencia ; those campsites are set up by us for the full season. This is very important due WE can decide the food quality and amount to be provided to our clients, we are not just simply hiring the service to someone else that will decide your diet and could refuse to provide you more food or drinks.
Our own mules; we have the best animals available for carrying loads. Our mule’s driver staffs takes close attention all the year round of maintenance and care of our animals, which are key to the success of our expeditions.
We use only locally Certified Professional Mountain Guides; the only one registered Mountain Guides School EPGAMT, based in Mendoza, Argentina, certifies all our Guides. They all have a degree and a very deep knowledge of Aconcagua Mountain than any other Guide used by foreigners companies. They are in HIS mountain and solve problems for them is very easy.
Guide/Client Ratio 3:1, One Guide, or assistant Guide every 3 clients on the trip.
Porters included on trip price. One porter every three climbers.
Safety is too important, that’s why our Guides have:
Pulse Oximeters: We will daily monitor your acclimatization by checking your oxygen saturation level,
Gamow Bag: You won’t need to get on a waiting list to get into the Park Gamow Bag we have our own!
VHF Radios: All our guides are equipped with VHF handy radios, that make possible to communicate with Base Camp at all time.
We use new or almost new equipment on every season. All general equipment such tents and stoves is renewed on each Aconcagua season, why risk to use old tents? Mountain gear really suffers a lot on Aconcagua!!
Longer Itinerary, our 21 days Mendoza/Mendoza itinerary has proved to be the best, giving you real chances to climb to the top of the mountain; don’t get laid with shorter trips! physiologically your body need more than 2 weeks to get ready to attempt the climb of such altitude!
We approach Aconcagua Base Camp in three days, via the relatively easy Horcones Valley. A second night at Confluencia dramatically improves acclimatization for the rest of the expedition.
We use three camps from Base Camp to the Summit. Most companies use only two camps maximum. By using more camps, your chance to acclimatize and summit dramatically increases. It would be easier and more economical for us to use only two camps, but we do not! We provide you with the best chances to climb to the top of the mountain.
We use the best possible food during the expedition, fresh meat, fruit and vegetables in Confluencia and Plaza de Mulas, even with wine, very good for health and very much appreciated for expedition moral, and a carefully planned diet to be used high on the mountain.
We use three stars Hotel in Mendoza down town. We offer all single rooms. Breakfast included and a very nice swimming pool available.
All nights lodging included on the trip; we include two nights in Mendoza with breakfast and one night in Hotel Ayelen in Penitentes including dinner as well as breakfast.
Airport Pickup included on the price for all team members.
Best Quality Ground Transportation available in the area to and from the mountain.
